I think serving has taught me a lot.
Discipline, yes, maybe but the most important thing: to remain cool.

Like you can yell at me and call me names, I will smile and keep doing my shit.
What goes around me, I have no control over but what goes inside me, I can and will, control that shit.
And as a cook in a civilian life, wow this is gold.

I am a lib, never held a gun before in my life, never really did any sports either.
(I do love running and walking though, was always in the top times an it shown even more when it was muddy)

Was a shock. Especially how they train you to shoot. It's very pervasive. At first, it's big rectangular target practices and slowly, that rectangle take shape. I'm VERY happy I never saw action. I'm very small, and I have a lot to prove so I would probably be dead if I did and I' really not sure how I would react having to shoot at an actual human being. I probably would not have unless in severe danger. which as it turns out, is pretty damn normal.

Still. Lots of european exercises. Joint exercises with our southern friends.

maybe start with no property tax, and increase it exponentially based on the number of homes you own?

I just dont know if I think home ownership should be the great and safe investment hustle it is. I know it makes lots of people lots of money for very little education and labor, but is that really what we need?

The housing is in a bubble the government refuses to let pop because they are protecting their tax revenue investment, which is supported by the boomer generation protecting their retirement
