![]() Let's do this... someone list out the primary reasons (with detail) of why they want YT.

It increases conversation in OOC and generates a feel of community. A delayed log will probably increase posts in RnF but there is so much trash from people who don't play on the server I'd rather have the conversations in-game with people actually playing and not trolls on the forum.

![]() Why are you guys afraid of location in YT?
Do you like being in freeport, guessing and hoping someone will be in lower guk, run all the way and say oh theres noone here, or in any other zone connected to this one. Location is everything, id rather see somerandom was slayed by somerandom in lavastorm than slippery has slain zereh and no location. (sry zereh u were the first to pop in my head)

Id much rather have events that draws pvpers in like a magnet than YT location. Id prefer YT no loc to what we have now, but if you make me choose between no YT or YT+ loc id choose no YT.

I gotta get this out of the way first: I'm reluctant to even play on your red server again since you were AWOL from the forums for so long when the population was dropping. I'm glad you're posting here now and haven't just pulled the plug on it, but there's a level of trust that affects anyone's willingness to really commit to the character progression. On-topic: YT makes the server feel alive/active, which is pretty important for low-pop servers. It also gives the person doing it a bit of reward for getting a kill. It stimulates OOC/chatter. Competitive trash talk was a big part of the classic red servers. It existed on the classic Discord server, which was similarly low population. On VZTZ (and LoZ), most everyone liked having the feature. The "players will find out where I'm at" is more theory than practice. In 4 years of VZTZ I can't recall a single forum thread complaining about YT ruining their covert operation in some rarely-visited dungeon. It was a plus to have any inkling of where pvp was taking place. Again, this is the low-population thing. Whatever concern exists about being able to hide from pvp is outweighed by the ability to find pvp.

![]() For leaderboard purposes: How should kills be tracked? Anyone involved/assists gets kills+1? Deathblows would leave tanks and healers at a disadvantage I'd think.

![]() When Rogean is present he has decent ideas. I favor leader board over YT but don't really care either way. What I care about is a big enough population.
If Rogean is really motivated to get some things done, he should make a post himself. I looked over this thread 10 times thinking it was random_tard_01 arguing with random_tard_02 until finally reading the reference to it pages deep into the news thread.
