They also said covid can live on surfaces. That was based on early information. As new information comes to light, strategies change. Better safe than sorry has been the CDC's position until more information can be determined. Hindsight is 20/20 isnt it.

He actually said they should have recommended 10 feet, but the Trump admin was against it "so compromise was made around 6ft"...
