Halloween event

i just spent 4.5 hours doing this event, and when i was ready to turn in for the final mask, all of the quest items poofed from my inventory.

i went with the most ideal group possible (druid, wizard, cleric, bard) and the iceclad turn in NPC poofed while we were handing in, so another player couldn't complete the quest. there is no way a solo player or anyone who didn't have a bard could have completed this quest.

Tried doing it solo, spent plat on ports between continents. Finished 3 masks, but then NPCs were pulled before I could get to Velious.

I was helping a wee druid who'd never been to Velious before do the Velious portion with me but then everything was disactivated...

That was the bit that rankled. I kept going even after hearing the rewards weren't good. It was a diverting enough quest and it had no clear end point but I wanted to finish it tonight. I was just about to do the Kunark turn-in and move on to Velious and fizzle. Bleah. Not going to say it ruined my Halloween or anything but it was a letdown. Hoping the next will go better.

i totally agree. i knew the reward would be near nothing, but it was insulting to have the time of my friends wasted by having the npc's poof so soon. not to mention having all the masks poof out of my inventory when i received the final treat.

No warning prior to depopping NPCs, was literally on final turn in with the 4 masks

Had two treats left to get, and the event ends with all of the npc's depopping. That's my luck.

lol i knew this event was complete trash when i realized you had to port all over the place, and i stopped in NK, but i( like many) wanted to finally do an event and finish it. but i knew it was going to be a shit show, like the velious event...
