Really wish pulling this UI onto Titanium Client were more easily doable. The persona thing being bugged is sadface too.

But that's not the true classic UI. Only noobs played in that windowed mode. You could go full screen since day 1 (beta in fact):

This was it if you pressed F10:

I'm not sure why everyone thinks you could only use the windowed one during classic.

Alloria a noob, I think not!

But the full screen mode one is acceptable too. Still limits to 6 hot button slots, 1 hot bar, and spell book blocks your view.

I put some thought into this topic, here's why I think the change is actually good for the server long term:

First off, nothing happened that ruined the server. All it did was make the game harder to play. If you think about it, almost all classic mechanics just force the player to be more heavily invested in the game world and considering what to do or how to do it. Yes it is a simple thing, but it is another thing that prevents people from playing on auto pilot. Which I think is probably beneficial. If we had all "annoying" classic features removed I think people would faceroll through a lot of content without having to work as hard or put as much thought it. Eq is and was addictive because it is hard, so I think this is overall good because it is another obstacle for players to get through. If you want to go through the "time isn't skill" argument then soe has a nice server where you can buy an 85...

Second thing is I think change is beneficial for the server even if it's somewhat inconvenient or minor. Forcing people to play the game different kinda makes the game new... if they were to say "okay I guess it's good now" and not change anything else, it would get boring because you know nothing new is coming. I think that's why small changes like this and even keeping velious off for basically forever are good because people know the game is still gonna change at some point. That makes it more interesting overall.

Third is that anything that nerfs anything players are gonna complain about. People don't like to be made less powerful or to have something they had taken away. If this wasn't in the server from the start people wouldn't complain, they would accept it's how it is. Basically the devs did the right thing, and people are gonna cry and complain but it was still the right decision for the server. Ofc no one likes it, but we will adapt and the server will be better for it overall in the long run.

I know right. Can't even tell what your exact skill is at. Just awful and excellent.

God classic was so legit. Also note Heat Resist = Fire Resist
