As for all the "we did it on live nps"... if Sony wasn't profiting from it I don't think they'd have allowed it.

Right now it makes no sense to box on H1Z1, but if there was money in it... hell yes they'd let you [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

3 people on a single 56k modem? I'll believe that it could work, but I would be very surprised if there wasn't some serious lag while doing that ....

When I started playing we had Cox(Comcast) and it was nice. My shitty comp was the bottleneck in those days.

I would like to say I am so sorry to hear about your wife. and I am sorry to hear about her banned account. I am also sorry that anonimity allows people to say things on the internet that they wouldn't say to your face. I wish you the best. Yes, when you get an IP exemption they do state, again, that 2 boxing for any reason is a banned offense. I know of people who have logged in for 30 seconds to do a transfer and got their accounts banned. In most of these cases the GMs will watch you sometimes and try to figure out if it is actually 2 people playing. If you are AFK at the bank though.. well IDK how they could know that it wasn't your wife AFK at the bank. Which is why I am iffy about my friends or my mom logging in my other account from my house LOL. They don't know what they are doing very well. I'm not 100% sure they could pass a boxing test with me... but well, they haven't said anything yet, so apparently/hopefully they know I am not boxing. I have to ask though, did this happen more than once? With one toon logged in and not doing anything? Because if it is a regular occurrence I can sort of understand why they might get suspicious.

It wasn't rare. The bandwidth/crappy computers problem was more of an issue...but if all you doing was a transfer or a buff or a rez lag didn't really matter.

It was cumbersome and clunky for me to box (it was a real second computer in an entirely second room---I can remember literally hitting trade and then running upstairs to my brother's room to hit his trade button), but was far from rare or impossible, especially for simple boxing tasks.

Only way I'd support boxing on this server. Rogean or other GM would perform in an home inspection, and verify computers were on different floors of same house. That way boxers could be happy, and the neckbeards would get some exercise.

Stair-boxing FTW
