Seems kind of baseless without a reason: why? Now if the GM staff is in TMO then sure I could see it, but why otherwise?

Are they the only donors?

If they are the only donors then yeah that's sort of P2W, but if they stopped donating.... where does the server go?

So.... WHY?

Also - if they are "cheating"... what's the point? This isn't a huge community... its like cheating in Mortal Kombat against your friend.
You can generally ignore Harrison. He's fixated within his own reality, and refuses to acknowledge the mere possibility that he's mistaken.

Most of the claims that TMO "cheats" stem from this thread here: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=68671

Long story short, TMO invis pulled VP dragons to a ledge that was otherwise mob free and totally safe. On occasion, say one every six or seven pulls, the dragons would inexplicably warp through the walls onto the raid. However, this was random and conferred no benefit whatsoever because of how invis pulling works (any dragon can be solo pulled in VP via this mechanic without warping, thus the warp confers no benefit).

Amelinda initially warned us off claiming that our use of "warping" was in violation of the rules, but quickly changed her explanation discussed here: http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...7&postcount=46
This is because we demonstrated that the warp was not intentional and that it gave no benefit whatsoever.

However, Harrison refuses to acknowledge Amelinda's later reasoning that TMO was not cheating because she's "corrupt." However, it is convenient for him to use her earlier, incorrect, conclusions against us so he does so. If you decide to read up on this subject, you'll find that he's rather selective about his facts. In fact, he categorically avoids any form of debate or discussion on the topic and he refuses to defend his points.

Examples:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...0&postcount=29
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...2&postcount=85
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=143
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=149
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=153
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=159
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=174
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=185
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=212
http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...&postcount=395

And that's just one thread.

At the end of the day, TMO has done a few wrongs which were punished to the same extent that any other guild would receive. However, there is no widespread public "cheating" of any nature that Harrison would have you think there is. If you research his post history (no easy task given that you'd be tracking it across 40+ banned accounts), you'll find that he's pushed this same agenda against TMO since we merged with Dark Ascension. The only thing that's changed is that he's selectively adopted facts since then to make his hatred seem more legitimate when he's just justifying it after the fact.

Bonus round: You'll find that Harrison's responses are generally limited to one of three types, so I'm going to link them all and save him the trouble of responding.

It's 100% documented that they cheat. It's not even some super secret thing. Everyone knows it.

It's fucking posted by the very GM that watched them do it, and subsequently did nothing about it. (Because she was taking bribes to allow them to cheat amongst other things)

That isn't baseless. This shit really happened.
I read the links provided and didn't see "cheating"... training isn't cheating btw. Amelinda isn't even a GM anymore due to corruption.

So where's the beef? Why would TMO even cheat? Who is even competing with them?

Thank you for the information it deffinately sheds some light on some of the things ive been reading here.

That was why I was curious a game around this long there is really no point now to exploit or cheat. It would be like using a Game Shark or Game Genie or other cheat code/exploit on Super Mario Brothers. Whats the point of playing if you cant lose?

From what I've read I agree with you. So let me ask you this on a pure curiosity note: does TMO actively try to foster competition? IE Leave some things up till prime time and see if you can encourage it? I'd like to raid at some point, but I'm not the kind of guy who can wake up at 3am during the week anymore.

(All based on heresay and past experience in EQ)

Honestly, not in the way you put it. On occasion we used to leave select mobs up, but this policy was mostly abandoned for several reasons (some good, some bad, some silly)

The prevailing thought is "if you want it bad enough, you'll put in the effort." While I generally agree with that statement, I personally would like to leave more mobs up for everyone else than we currently do.

Is TMO open to talking to another guild to leave certain mobs up?

I understand where you're coming from: if you guys don't then others will. In the end all it did was encourage more 3AM fights. However, what I don't get is that the majority of people who played EQ live during this time period are my age or older... how are we able to still do this stuff?

This is very possible in my view, but I do not presume to speak for the leadership.

Batphones + laptops will tethered smartphones will enable surprisingly easy response to a raid call at all times of the day. Also, a lot of Euro's and Aussies play p99.

It's cute that he still thinks if he continues to post longwinded inane bullshit that it negates the fact you guys cheat and should all be banned as per the rules you blatantly broke countless times.(documented occurrences, all)
