Who would you have voted for in the presidential election of 1948?

I obviously didn't live in that era but looking at what had happened in history I'm happy that the person behind the Berlin airlift was the one who won. I can only imagine what would have happened had another president listened to the generals who suggested armored convoys with orders to shoot at anything threatening them.

I'm not saying I would have voted for him but I would have been happy with him for sure
