At some point I think you have to ask yourself why you're writing at all. If you intentionally obfuscate things and then insist that it's the other party's ignorance leading to miscommunication, does that give you a stiffy?

You would be completely horrified by some of what I do on this contract. I fix all the fatal errors (editorial term for provably wrong spelling, grammar, punctuation) in blog posts written by engineers. I have to leave their horrible syntax, mixed metaphors, and assorted awkwardness intact.
