Although if I were to commit suicide it would be best done after humping my body pillow hard and stringing my neck up to cut the oxygen supply off to my brain and produce the most epic orgasm known to humanity that leaves me hanging in the nude to show my muppets baby tattoo and the lack of manhood there is which caused my virginity in the first place.

I don't think it's brave or cowardly. It's a choice, with consequences, just like every other choice you'll make in life. What's unfortunate is the people close to you are the ones that suffer the consequences more than you do.

Suicide to escape untreatable physical pain and suffering - Not brave, but understandable

Suicide so others may live - Brave but sometimes stupid

Suicide from erotic self asphyxiation - Stupid and not brave

Suicide because you got dumped by someone - Stupid and not brave

Suicide to take out many of your enemies - Can be brave but it's often fueled by ignorance and zealotry, so most of the time it is more stupid than brave

Suicide to avoid punishment for a crime you have committed - Very brave, I encourage this one

As you can see nothing is black and white, even suicide.

If you do a search for suicide notes on google it appears the stupid belief in an afterlife causes most suicides. People believe they are going somewhere better.

I guess it is better they die then stay here spreading their death cult beliefs to others...

Deciphered from illegible notes:

"To all my friends and loved ones, I ask of you one last favor: don’t let my spirit die. Remember me for the laughs and the good times, the thrills we all had together. I hope I made a place in all your hearts and touched each and every one of you in a special way. I have chosen to die, but I haven’t chosen to be forgotten. I must find a new world, a world of peace and happiness. I want you all to know I am not afraid to die, only to quit living. I’ll miss you.”

“If I can’t see my daughter here, I will see her from above…”

“What is a few short years to live in hell. That is all I get around here. No more I will pay the bills. No more I will drive the car. No more I will wash, iron & mend any clothes. No more I will have to eat the leftover articles that was cooked the day before. This is no way to live. Either is it any way to die. Her grub I can not eat. At night I can not sleep. I married the wrong nag-nag-nag and I lost my life.”

“”Football season Is over. No more games. No more bombs. No more walking. No more fun. No more swimming. 67. That is 17 years past 50. 17 more than I needed or wanted. Boring. I am always bitchy. No fun for anybody. 67. You are getting greedy. Act your old age. Relax, this won’t hurt.”

I find it hard to believe that what we experience in the now is all there is. Some would say energy cannot be destroyed and when it comes down to it, the "observer" that is "you" in regards to the human brain is accepted as nothing but pure "energy." If energy cannot be destroyed where does it go? Although perhaps that may only pertain to this particular universe and the laws of physics it abides.

Memory itself is a giant mystery. Think about it. Your brain can hold an infinite amount of information with absolutely no limit. Imagine being able to harness such an essence which we have yet to do.

I have thought about it, and I have come to the conclusion that the most likely scenario is reincarnation but not necessarily as a human being. Your consciousness is merely how your brain interprets the data from all of your senses. Your brain can be "flawed" and make things like depression and suicide more likely, just like having a flaw which makes you more likely to have heart problems or diabetes. The energy is not flawed but the organic material the energy uses to initiate the chemical reaction that is you can be corrupted or flawed by environmental factors or poor genes / dna information.

You have Energy that powers you

You have a body that is hardware

You have genes / dna that are the software

Everything (on this planet) is water and energy and this is probably true with all life with some variations just like all stars are basically the same but they have differences as well.

The energy in powering you is not exclusive to you. It has powered a bird, a blade of grass, a fish etc. Everything is connected this way. You are not special nor unique. No one is. This is a narcissistic human belief.

Thread needs context.

Soldier/marine going on a one way mission to accomplish a task, particularly ones that involve them actively ending their own lives in the process (detonating a bomb) would be considered a most courageous act. The same would be said about someone diving on top of a grenade tossed into a foxhole. You could even say the same about kamikaze pilots.

The Sandy Hook shooter who put a bullet in his own head when they had him cornered? Hitler? Cowards.
