Odds of Epic Weapon

I'm just curious if anyone can tell me how likely it is to get an epic weapon if you don't belong to one of the major guilds or have a million plat for an MQ? (Or however much they are)

I'm just asking because aside from not having a ton of high level friends I also need a piece from Venril Sathir and I think I heard TMO pretty much has him locked down.

Get to 60, app to TMO, sit in the same zone 16 hours a day tracking mobs for a few weeks, get your epic. Congrats. Otherwise? 1%?

Depends on the epic/class.
Anything that doesn't involve a dragon or the planes(do any not?) is going to be significantly more convenient and will mostly be a time requirement camping lesser mobs up until the final steps.

However you would be surprised at the generosity of guilds and individuals.

Best thing to do is manage all the parts you can alone, but always seek advice.
Then when you reach the tough bits, come on the forums and ask for help.

Despite TMO's reputation, they are not above assisting you.

Maybe if you have a rep of being a dick or bad mouthing them but so far TMO has been at worst indifferent and at best very friendly.

Yeah, most people in TMO are pretty friendly on a personal basis, until you get to the point where you want something that can be seen as a threat to the strangle hold they have on the server.
