I don't know Tiggles very well. I don't use my mic in TMO vent and I'm not in those video chats, so I only chat with him once in a while and see his posts on the forums. My favorite post from him was when he posted a picture of himself wickedly hungover and talked about $8 vodka and some girl went off about men who think they deserve to have girls buy them $10 drinks all night and he corrected her that the BOTTLE was $8.

I think he's a pretty nice guy. He always seems to be pretty nice to everyone, even people who are quite mean to him. He's always been nice to me in our limited interaction and he didn't seem to be gossipy or manipulative or anything else negative.

Many of you seem to think that knowing Tiggles or knowing something about him gives you the right to treat him as your metaphorical punching bag. You seem to like to attack his appearance, probably because you know that fat American men are typically very insecure about appearance. I think that reflects much worse on you than it does on Tiggles. I don't recall him ever responding that any of you don't make enough money, or have an impressive resume or drive an expensive car, the things that slender American men are typically insecure about.

In the place and time where I grew up, we were taught to treat fat people with respect. Maybe that's changed now or maybe some of you just have really awful manners. I'm sure some of you are already getting ready to talk about how I'm just another desperate and lonely gamer geek trying to get into Tiggles's undergarments. Well, I am kind of a lonely gamer geek sometimes, but I live far away from him and I'm probably twice his age, so the chances of us ever meeting are somewhere between minuscule and none at all. I just don't think the way many of you talk about him is appropriate at all and someone should call you out for it and it might as well be me.

Tiggles, I hope the things some of these guys say about you don't affect the way you think about yourself. I don't agree with them at all. I think you're a pretty nice guy.

No. Seriously, fuck TMO. I just know what it's like to be where they are. I recognize rhetoric and idiocy from both sides of this. No matter how much I dislike them for whatever reason, I recognize their tactics as (mostly) valid, and more power to them. They beat IB by the rules they were able to champion best, whether or not that is fair or whether or not I think it is righteous is moot.
