You have to be careful fighting skeles down there. Firstly as Nocte posted, the necro GMs will kill you if they see you. Secondly as you found out, the NPCs are buffing those decaying skeles as they pass by.

What you have discovered are Immortal skeletons. They cannot die unless you take their head... and with it... their power. In the end there can be only one.

Pff... they had over 1000 health probably. my pet with his whacked out regen was fighting that one skeleton for over 10 minutes.... hitting it for 7 damage Many Many Many Many Many Many Many Many Many Many times....
