If an anti-tank projectile or shaped-charge blast manages to penetrate a turreted armored vehicle's hull and subsequently its ammunition storage area, the shock wave or heat and pressure can be sufficient to cause cooking off or sympathetic detonation of the tank's entire load of unfired explosive shells and propellant. This causes a massive and instantaneous overpressure in the sealed internal compartment of the tank, until it explodes outwards through the weakest point in the otherwise homogeneous compartment, namely the turret ring, blowing the turret completely off the chassis and into the air in a gout of flame. tank rounds are not explosive. theyre made from depleted uranium that burns at such a high temperature catching everything on fire around it, giving it the appearance it is explosive.

In exactly the same way that bullets are not explosive.

If you didn't catch the sarcasm, why don't you go light a clip/magazine on fire and go on a tirade about how lead isn't explosive while you're at it.

Most clips and magazines aren't flammable. Most.

clips and magazines isnt ammunition, a clip is a strip that holds rounds so they can be easily fed into a magazine. and no i didnt catch the sarcasm because it seemed like you were trying to give an explanation on something you have no idea what you're talking about. also, not in exactly the same way bullets are not explosive because bullets are not made from depleted uranium.

As you can see, nothing was said about a depleted uranium sabot dart exploding. HEDP (high explosive dual purpose) rounds, and propellant are what explode. I suggest you learn more about tanks, or reading comprehension.
