Cleric or Shaman

Soo many Shamans around. I'd go cleric imo..

Def going to group, when I cant find a group I'll just hop on one of the other toons and solo. Not a lot of people want bards or wiz I am finding and I miss the social aspect of the game so I need a class that people will want to hang out with haha.

You'll have plenty of time to chat inbetween healz=). Shaman you'll have to be spamming canni anyway.

Essentially this. It pretty much boils down to whether you want to be able to take time to chat (at the cost of slow mana regen), have great heals, and be forced to group unless you're fighting undead...

...or be able to solo effectively almost everywhere, be wanted in groups only as a buff/debuff bot, and have no time to chat because you're too busy canni-dancing. :P

Ya seems to be a lack of mid range clerics atm... been in a lot of groups as healer on my sham lately.

Shaman is a FULL time job both grouping and soloing. It is a great class but a busy as hell one compared to a Cleric. The biggest problem with a Shaman is they are expensive as hell to equip. To be good you need a Fungi, JBB, Torpor, Haste item, Granite Face Grinder, etc. 200k plus to do it.

Shaman epic pretty easy, Cleric epic more expensive. But both classes are more than welcomed in groups. Just pick what you like not what is needed. It's a LONG way to 60. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

AFK/Netflix clerics tend not to make it to 50, I saw a few with a bad rep when I was levelling my SK (they'd ninja AFK or slow the group down by going to "walk the dog" etc).

If you want to be a cleric, be prepared not to be the AFK type unless the tank/puller/etc calls one.

Clerics can be stressful at 39 when you're still learning the CH duration, I remember purple lining a couple of people [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Maybe at low levels, is the total opposite endgame. Wish my 60 Cleric was a 60 Shaman sometimes because there are so many Clerics.
