Go ahead and try a reinstall. Rename/replace the files as required for this server (see here) and remember to change the eqhost.txt file to redirect to Host=eqemulator.net:5998

And never click EverQuest.exe, only eqgame.exe.

Well, ended up uninstalling(and making sure there was nothing left over) and reinstalling again, replacing the files and whatnot and giving it another go.

turns out I again get stuck after trying to log in a character, I'm really not sure where I'm going wrong here, i reinstalling twice, I'm able to log into other servers, and it was working just fine the other day.

Curiously i've had a look around my EQ folder and found in DBG ...

*edit* had this just a minute ago. because of the time out I got before, I decided i'd take my laptop to the router insted, and that maybe wireless was creating an issue, and this time I got....
