basically you got a mini forge, molds and told to go out in the wild and start hacking up mobs. I still had to write it all down in a notebook.

Yeah, I enjoyed those quests when I rolled an alt or 2 in the latter part of my EQ days... but you will get banded/bronze at best til level 30ish, and you will like it!

they left these quests in on the Progression servers even

my warrior on Progression started during Velious era. i didn't even bother getting Crafted armor, because the newbie armor was better than Crafted. :|
