I too was looking for Ambassador Kryn in order to do this quest. Whenever I check, he's not up and I've also looked at various times during the day.

I've killed him 2-3 weeks ago. So he did spawn. He actually has a bouncer PH that spawns at 7:30 AM game time

I saw a Gatorsmash Maul on a vendor recently, so I'm going to guess this was an ID ten T error. :P
