While I don't entirely disagree with you, repeatedly stating the age of the game makes you look like an idiot. People still play for a reason. EQ has some things no other MMO has, period. It can be 100 years old and if people like it, it's still a valid game.

Go beat Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders and then let's hear you talk about it's age.

Baldurs gate / Baldurs gate 2 is around the same age and its still one of the best RPG's of all time.

Forum trolls do not equal people in game. Most of TMO (80-90%) are good people who buff noobs in tunnels, or help the occasional CR.
FE however is 90% douchebags. the ex-Chaos/Acyrid/Maelstrom members are fine. but just about everyone else in that guild is so high on pixels it's stupid. Smoke a blunt and enjoy the game before Sony comes in and goes all lolno.you guys gotta pay. and then closes the server

Fallout 2 is a big step down from one! 2 is so damn goofy, half the time it takes itself seriously and the rest is a romp through some kind of post apocalyptic circus. The atmosphere of 1 was so much better

There are nice people in every guild and I would say overall Project1999 has a good community for being an emulator server. There were nice people in WI, DA and IB back in the day, just as there are nice people in TMO and FE now.

If you are judging a guild based on what you see in RNF, you probably shouldn't be reading RNF because you just don't get it. If you are judging a guild based on their loudest members, you just haven't interacted with the right people.
