I would also like to mention the small (gigantic) issue of endgame being completely unClassic, and to all intents and purposes, ruined for the majority of the server.

Didn't the raid rules/situation vary for different servers?

The mechanics were always the same, and they are wholly different here, and if it's purposefully or unpurposefully, the end result is the same, and that is that larger guilds have a disproportionate ability to win raid targets over what was seen on Live.

The changes were ostensibly so other guilds could compete, but now, Bush-like, the reasons have changed to "too much hassle for GMs" basically. Because the massive variance now on raid targets has been demonstrably proven to indeed hinder smaller guilds, far over what one might assume from their more limited playtimes and organizational capacity. And so it has become strikingly obvious that whenever the former reason is given, the developers are simply not playing straight with us.

Most people who have been affected by this injustice (read: anyone in the raid scene except TMO) have been waiting for changes to the raid scene for months, BEGGING to return this to Classic mechanics. Please reconcile this with the Classic quotation from Nilbog, and you will start to understand some of the frustration many of the longer-term players have been having with this unClassic perversion of EverQuest.

We just need more server restarts/patch days that would force all raid targets to respawn all at once

You can blame me if you choose, I don't care. I have posted my opinions on the raid scene, suggested a plan to move forward, and I wait on Rogean to implement it.

So, instead of a variance, you want hundreds of people standing in a circle waiting for the precise time to start AEing? I mean, have you considered it's not developers that are the problem? Tell TMO to drop half their guild, or form an alliance with other guilds and beat them at what they are doing. This is not the thread for rehashing this bs.

I know, and it's depressing. We're rooting for you. Thank you.

Yes, reduce the window to 15 minutes or w/e if you don't want people knowing exactly when mobs will pop (and spamming ae), but if everyone is competing for FTE then the odds of winning the mob are random and guilds would agree to a rotation since they'd get the same amount of loot as they would expect to get on average FTE'ing without having to get everyone out to every pop and having to deal with FTE disputes.

Probably want to expedite this, would be a good way to retain at least fraction of the high numbers we've been seeing lately.
