Curious about this as well. Making a return to P99 after some time away. Today I installed everything, when I go to play, get past the log in screen using the emulator and then it crashes on me. When I try and open with wineq it says some error message.

as for this crashing issue - its possible that your default uifiles folder is corrupt as I did that to myself the other day and had the same issue.
What I did to resolve was replace my default folder (in /eq/uifiles/) with a fresh copy from install, and then i re-patched the UI up to p1999 standards by downloading and extracting uifilesv2.zip (Can sum1 link? cant find it these days, i had it saved)
