You think people playing P99 really care about grammar?

Are you so new to the mmo world in which you think something like proper speaking matters?

Now really unless you have something constructive to say on the topic I think it would be best to just move on.

Thank you and have a nice day.
Assuming people playing P99 are intelligent humans, then yes, I think grammar does influence how you are perceived, especially if you are trying to explain the mission of your guild to other people. What does it matter if we are talking about an MMO or nuclear physics, does playing video games mean appearing intelligent when trying to get a point across is unimportant?

Nothing to do with quoted comment, but everything to do with quoted person's signature: "When it's time to party, we will always PARTY HARD!"

One thing I have learned from 16 years of mmos is that people leave courtesy and rational thought behind when playing the game and using forums.

I disagree with that, I think its from a personal level. Plenty of people on these forums write rational and well written posts. I just think saying, oh im playing an MMO so it doesn't matter if my sentences are legible is a pretty poor excuse. Not that i really care that much, just seems like if you wanted to represent your guild on the forums you would make a more well written post.

So if someone at work comes up to a group of people and tells them "Yo man we gots this news bands and are playing this saturday night, yos gots to watch us."

Your reaction would be to tell the person that you would but considering how bad their speaking etiquette is you must harass them about it to make yourself seem smarter then you are.

My point is that people do things on forums that would never stand in person. That people who tend to point these things out on forums are people who are saying "Hey look at me I am smarter then this guy because he didn't use proper English!"

Just let it go and never do it again, problem solved.

No, its pretty simple. In person we know each other in much greater detail, facial expressions, personality, voice inflection etc, so using slang makes more sense. When you're typing something online to people who don't know you and you can't type a proper sentence it makes you look like an idiot. Its a pretty basic concept.

You lose no sleep over that but you have troll brigades harass members that have left on good terms or with minimal drama? Im sorry, but after you tricked me in to lvling a dark elf warrior to 42 I would never want to do something with Knightt or Wyntaria EVAH!

If you're going to be a grammar nazi, please lead by example.
