How is vision not a factor? My erudite is blind as a bat at night, having to move the camera angle around to see if NPCs are silhouetted behind something if they're too far to see their names, just to see if they are there.

Have you ever played original EQ? The vision the nightblind races have damn near feels like ultravison compared to what it was orginaly.
