It was a good long while after Luclin dropped that the actual Bazaar went live. Yes it was before PoP, but I quit a while after Luclin and it wasn't in before I left. It was just an empty zone with some vendors.

The tunnel is the single most unique aspect of this iteration of EverQuest. It's what gets me to log in.

I didn't like what it did to the social aspect of trading, however the real problem was setting up a trader was completely free. That was a great opportunity to actually start removing some platinum from circulation that was just completely missed and there were different ways they could have gone about it. Hourly rate (could differ on how much you could sell items for or whatever or how many), "house cut" per purchase, etc. Yeah it would have required some tweaking but it would have helped slow inflation and brought more "real" value back to platinum and made people consider if they could make more money selling themselves vs the overhead of convenience.

Yuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh horses helped with platinum removal, but that does not mean it had to be the only one. Not to mention they were still a one time cost per character, that is, if you even needed to buy one at all. And to the actual point of my post, horses did not offer any cost to the convenience of never having to be at your keyboard to sell goods.
