Yea if I were IB Id say the same thing. The posts show the facts tho.
1) astarothel isnt in IB.

2) if you review the thread rather than spew the same rhetorical propaganda again and again youd see the validity of his statements.

3) if we split 2/2 How is DA this new powerhouse?

4) DA started camping mobs LONG before IB did and is starting it up again this week. We used a method that allowed our members to get on with real life and if you were available to MOBILIZE for a mob, then you did so. DA started this thing of camping in a zone days before a pop.

5) it is a FACT you have multiple members that are ex IB apps or members that were removed for either not making the cut OR being removed for asshatery. Number of DA ex members in IB under those same circumstances? Zero. This doesnt reflect poorly on the rest of DA. I know many of you and get along just fine plus recognize you as decent players and people but lets call a spade a spade.

6) If you feel we were winning mobs by mobilizing exploiting the raider skullcaps, how bout we race for mobs now without them? abandon your camps and lets get it on. I am flat out calling you out on that one.

This server was sposed to be a nastalgic experience for me. Fun. This bullshit is making it anything but that. I dont mind competition but a few of you are taking this way to serious and dont retort with some "zomg its IB so serious" becuase the rage in your posts constantly attacking us is self evident.

If people would put their ill deserved ego's and narcissism behind them, myself included, i think p99 would be a better place. Lets not forget we are all here for the love of EQ. I predict this shit doing nothing but killing the server raid scene when its either DA or IB camping raid mobs for days and days. I dont know who that could possibly sound fun to who has a job, goes to school, or has anything in their life aside from EQ.

I'm not going to get into all this bullshit over who is better or what not. However, I want to take a moment to discuss this whole idea of skill that keeps getting brought up.

Camping mobs doesnt take skill.. but before people camped, IB was the fastest mobilizing guild on the server hence they got the mobs. The ability to return to your computer, get to a druid ring/wiz spire, and run to a zone doesn't take an amazing amount of skill either.

Everquest, especially classic, isn't a particularly skill based game. Don't get me wrong, certain classes take a moderate amount of skill, but it's not like we're performing heart surgery here on the daily. This isn't a dig at one guild or the other since both are guilty of the whole skill argument, but let's all stop delluding ourselves into thinking that it takes anything special to camp, mobilize for, or kill these mobs.

Agreed...high islands of Sky and Veeshan's Peak is where the skill comes into play.

Really theres no skill there either. Its still tank this, heal that guy, mez this, debuff that, kill in this order...Theres really not much "skill". One thing that took slight skill was mob placement and since push doesnt exist here thats shot right out the door.

Classic EQ was never about skill really, it was about who put more time into the game and encounters. Using LoS walls and timing to avoid AEs. But in all honesty pretty much all of classic was tank and spank / CH order with some resist buffing thrown in.
