On the whole, EQ is far less gear dependent than other mmos. Especially in a PvP setting.

Now take a fresh max-level character in EQ and compare a max-level character who has had time to gear up in terms of their PvP potential. Do the same for other MMOs. The relevance of your attempt to find the most extreme case vanishes when compared to its greater context.

So your telling me a caster in cloth would stand a chance against a 200+ MR melee? It's also not like you can just roll out in pve gear and own everyone. You need the right set of gear for pvp to even stand a chance to anyone unless it's like pvp below level 40. In wow any pvp under the max level gear doesn't matter much also. So yes anything BUT endgame pvp gear doesn't mean anything at all.

Also just the fact that a melee needs high MR to stand a chance to any caster makes endgame pvp very gear dependent. Being rooted and snared every 5sec isn't what I call fair pvp so now I need to farm up MR so I can even get a hit in.
