Well, I guess they continued making ancients in luclin, but they were around in velious too.

That post at the bottom was made like 9 months after SoL was released. I know that SoE went back and added some spells from some expansions to other mobs in different expansions of equivalent difficulty. IE:
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=8428

It may be possible some Ancients were added prior to SoL but I don't recall it being that way.

Are you sure ancient wasnt on vulak to begin with?

He wasnt exactly that easy to slay, if not the hardest encounter in velious? Ive never been on a raid that slayed him. Even luclin era my guild never even tried.

Im not sure if any of the other mobs in velious had that. Pretty sure it was only vulak that carried ancients.

Vulak was not that hard really. You might be thinking of the SoL era Vulak they turned it into a ring event and his encounter was bugged (impossible) for a long time. The larger challenge in NTOV was Lord Vyemm if I remember correctly, then Vulak was free uber loot.

The hardest encounter in Velious was Avatar of War by far (not counting Sleeper who was never meant to be killed). After that it's up in the air, you got Tunare, Statue of RZ, Lord Yelinak, Lord Vyemm, etc.

Ancients were added to Vulak when they made Vulak a ring event, iirc.
