I've never broken a game rule in all the time I played and I very much agree with people playing by the rules, I just think misunderstandings happen, and on this occasion easy to see why when the word rot is mentioned. Furthermore, I know Ant is a decent guy who does plays by the rules, yes he's vocal in what he believes in, but then so are many other people.

Ninja Looting is against the rules. Are you sure you know what you think you know?

Regardless of the word rot being used or not, you don't pick up loot another guild is letting rot unless they give the okay. Especially when the guild tags are seen as competition to each other. It's just shows a lack of intelligence and class imo.

If there had been an FTE battle, yeah I can see picking it up until a GM comes to sort out the shitfest, but walking over and picking up something from a corpse you know you don't have a say on is grade A retarded.

Anthrax made it clear there was no misunderstanding over the word rot being in a sentence and him not knowing what the word "maybe" meant. He looted it to "save" it from rot by his own admission in the screenshot on the first page. If he thought he had been given permission to loot it from someone in a position to grant such a thing, he would have said "Soandso said I could loot it". He wouldn't have said that he "waited till 1 second". He thought that it just made it ok for him to do, as he believed he that was apparently an unwritten exception to the very clear server rule of no ninja looting.

He might not have been trying to be a terrorist about it, but he was certainly being stupid for the reasons Stealin mentioned. Sometimes stupid hurts.
