Reeeeealy? Tell me more. Ive gotten out of gaming because of travel time and whatnot, ive been looking at their website and it looks interesting.
How easy is it to find groups at large who 1. dont suck and RP like 14 year olds 2. use this software?
Well, I really have never tried to find a group besides the core group that I've played with over the last 11 years or so. We started in high school and only play maybe 8 times per year or so, but I absolutely recommend buying the FG software. If you are DMing, you'll have to do a good bit more prep work at first, but if you get into it, you will start to find a lot of shortcuts. You can import almost anything you want when it comes to rule books and maps, etc. We play 3.5E because we think its already as close as we want to perfection. I just don't see the big deal with 4th edition, but there are probably books to import for that, as well.
