Maybe because there's millions of different species living on this planet, because gathering them all would take an insane amount of time, because no boat could possibly be large enough to fit all of them, and because you couldn't possibly have enough food to feed them for 40 days all on said boat. Just a few reasons why that would be heard to accomplish.

I like how you word this, a true believer would say "Are you saying this DIDN'T HAPPEN?"; not how possible an event could be.

I was raised a christian/catholic, and I feel very sorry for your kids if you indoctrinate them with this fantastical idea that the bible is to be interpreted literally.

Whether or not I believe in a higher power is one thing, but I will tell you that Noah did not gather 2 of everything and ride in a boat for 40 days in a great flood. Taking that story in a literal scene is beyond moronic and laughable.

And I feel sorry for you in having been raised in an environment where this type of learned thinking has actually been taught. There are a great many minds that could teach you a lot on the subject of evolution vs creationism, but it would be fruitless because you have been indoctrinated from a young age.
