thats quite a classic.
EQ always had buggy or sometimes screwed up texturing, like you posted holes in the head, swords sticking thru your head when sitting down, flickering textures etc.etc... it can be your video driver, eq used to be pretty picky wich nvidia drivers worked and which didn't work. often a 4 year old driver worked better than the newest, but it can just as well be the eq client that just acts up.
