It's not just horrible pathing in every single zone, it's the fact that there are years of development work that need to be done before the server even comes close to red99 in terms of quality and playability. The server doesn't even force you to use its own spells file. Gee I wonder if that can cause any exploits. Plus they don't have a reliable anti-cheat, and there are probably duping exploits that haven't been fixed yet (I know when I played a long time ago, when you looted the coin off someone's corpse, the coin stayed there, effectively doubling whatever was on the corpse). Anyone who isn't blind can see that the server had no work put into it at all.

again man i don't think anyone is arguing against the fact that one server is more polished than the other. i can say with 100% certainty if both servers had equal exp rates and a reasonable level of staff communcation we would all still be on r99.

problem is half of the population of eq pvpers today will never put 300+ hours into this game... ever. these are the people you see trying out the new server. we are simply looking for ways to play the game we love without the ridiculous time sink, and if we have to deal with some bugs in the process, so be it. there was a time when i could spend 4 hours a day playing eq and that was when i was 13 years old.
