How are Enchanters in PvP on RED99?

I don't need to be OP...just like to be able to hold my own under reasonable circumstances. The class appeals to me because it's been years since I played one, and it's pretty apparent you want to play something that can solo here, at this point. Every class I pick seems to have some whopping turd in the punchbowl because of compounding issues, so just wanted to see if there were any serious gotchas anyone knew of.
