May 15th 2001 - This piercing weapon (its not a shield, you can't bash with it) has a 1-4 dmg/dly, which puts it on par with other newbie weapons like a dragoon dirk, langseax etc..

11-17-1999 - Its a fairly worthless weapon, very poor choice for even a low level warrior because of its huge delay. Long delay in off hand = bad. I see people auctioning them for as low as 60 plat and not getting any bites now that people are realizing how bad of a weapon it realy is.

Pretty sure the shield was always a piece of junk for that reason on live. Toad brought up some semi-decent quotes. I did some quick combing though some of the ZAM stuff and figure I would throw in one additional quote.

Dec 16th 2000 - You can not bash with this shield. It is used as part of your dual wield that you get at Lvl 13. As it says it's a piercing weapon.
