EQ is in no way linear. You're making the mistake of mentally linking it to the EQ-derivative WoW - which is in all ways a themepark treadmill, the most dreaded of MMOs. Which is why we are all still playing EverQuest.

There is a hell of a lot of sandbox to be had in P99.

sandbox very small in comparison to EVE unless you are talking about some RP shit.

If one defines empty space as the existence of something, then yes, Eve is far larger than EQ.

BUT, is space truly a sandbox? Can you erect sand castles from emptiness? I believe it is fair to say that EQ provides more "sand" than Eve ever will.
