If you look in your eqemu folders there are some character name files saved too. If your char and account names are the same then you can get them back that way.

Good to know for future reference, but I've got the account name now. It's available under the control panel on the EQEmu forums. I appreciate the input though, thanks!

A word to the wise. Always store your passwords, for everything, in two places. In today's world there are too many and it is unlikely that you will be able to remember them all - even if you try to make them similar (can't make them the same due to different rules for passwords of course).

To this end, I have a file on my computer (secured) and an app on my Windows Phone for storing these.

Good luck on your quest to get your character back - I suspect you will be successful. Welcome back in either event.

I appreciate the kindly reinforcement. And believe me, I will definitely be storing my passwords more safely from now on. I had already begun a way of archiving them for such emergencies, but hadn't started prior to joining P99. Lesson learned to be sure, and I hope you're right about my impending success.
