Miscellaneous: No more fine Steel from guards

This makes no sense, honestly. My money is on it being a bug because as a "classic" server the guards not dropping 2 FS and seafuries in OOT being nerfed on their gem drops is definitely not classic.

Also, this affects a minority of the farming population. There are already many many people with plat in the 100s of thousands - why nerf them now?

This post makes absolutely no sense. Crying "I want my easy money NOW" does not give any pluses to your credibility. There has to be a certain amount of balance in the game. EQ has always been about risk vs reward.

With that said, I will look into the issue.

To clarify my post, because it didn't make sense (I should have thought out my response better I guess), my point is that a nerf on these doesn't make sense on a server which aims to be classic.

For this reason I was not upset at the situation thinking something I enjoyed doing (farming plat while getting xp) was nerfed - rather I assumed it was simply a bug and wanted to bring it to your attention.

EQ has definitely always been about risk vs. reward. EQ has always had that loot on those mobs. Thus, I assumed it was balanced.

Just an error most likely. Especially if its not noted in patch. Will try and fix it up.

Seems to be a discrepancy with EFP/WFP. That's verified.

Will look into the deputies, bashers, and seafuries?

Dude, no disrespect or anything, but I don't really think he/she is 'crying for easy money', they are just stating their opinion. And honestly, the FP guards aren't exactly 'easy' from what I remember...a good deal of risk involved, not to mention they are level 30 mobs.
C'mon, if you were just a regular player and not a dev, woulden't you be slightly dissapointed if you went to enjoy a camp you frequently fight at for exp and money,only to find the drops were bugged/nerfed?

...and I just read the follow-up posts after this one...this person was NOT 'crying'. =D

As of last night, the FP guards are still dropping Rusty, (I didn't kill them but I ran by and checked a corpse to see a Rusty Sword)

As of 1:37 PM est 5/11 Bashers in Grobb are still dropping rusty swords. I'm filing bankruptcy.
