i dumped into silver a while back but its stayed pretty even for a couple years... will have to see what happens after hyperinflation hits i suppose

There is a big difference between gold/silver contracts and physical PMs. If you own physical gold/silver you have good foresight. If you only have contracts it's only worth as much as the fiat you'll get in return since you won't be able to exchange it for anything physical once inflation begins to actually spiral out of control.

Then again owning physical gold/silver puts you in a precarious situation if gold confiscation by US Government repeats like Executive Order 6102 in 1933.

Also, don't bother looking at the divergence between US equities and bonds/credit. Or the constant central bank interference in sovereign bond markets. Or the record lows in volume for NYSE (exclude HFT and there are nearly no investors). The machine is functioning properly and the global financial system is healthy!
