I've never done shit on any red server in EQ, but imo EQ PvP is more of a "PvP game" than some new MMO full of esport dota arena matches where the only reason you do it is to do it.

Sure, EQ wasn't designed and balanced with any kind of PvP in mind, but so what? Having everyone be able to compete against everyone else shouldn't be the goal of a PvP game anyway. It should be to create conflict (and cooperation) between players, the results of which have significant consequences.

Looks more like a PvE game with PvP thrown in as an afterthought.
