yes, killing gemchopper gnomes give the dead faction, some caster npcs (mage, wiz, ench) in neriak give the dead faction as well. I know when I was farming the faction, I would kill 2 gnomes in steamfont and 2 gnomes in lesser fay who gave + faction hits to the dead. There is also a couple quests that raise the dead, but my faction is currently too low to worry about those.

Be prepared for a very very long grind if you do it, and nilbog still hasn't made the ring usable by all/all from the inventory. There is a thread in the bugs forum about it, I've been trying to find more proof than the already ample evidence of it being clickable by all/all but I think Nilbog considers it too powerful and he wants to limit its use.

Considering manastones (I knew of 3 people who had one back on Karana on live (there were more obviously) are abundent and that there are maybe 20 prenerf fungi staff on this server (don't think i've ever seen one on live and not even sure my server had 1), I have a hard time siding with the "too powerful" argument on an emulator in 2012.

Obviously with todays knowledge of the game, we know what to get, how to get it, our characters are much stronger than they were back in classic.

Brael (who is pretty much the "zuranthium" (guru) of eq shadowknights) told me that there were maybe 5 people server wide who had the ring back in classic. He also told me that the ring was usable by all/all. This item is on this server nowhere as rare as it was during classic. If it were, there would be maybe 1 ring here, prolly not even one considering the amount of people on the server. Yet there are maybe close to 100 if not more of them on the server.
