Being a guide, and being an over controlling mom are very different. I think, unfortunately that you may have crossed over into the over controlling mom a while ago due to the nature of the job and having to deal with the vz/tz people. Control the amount of cheating/exploiting/wrongdoing in that notion and most "drama" will subside. No need to be homeland security and the CIA of EQ.

Sigh, point of post missed. Was not to insult but to simply say there is being a gm and making sure the game is run correctly and that people disrupting gameplay are taken care of. Policing every curse word or racial slur that would get thrown in ooc is a bit ridiculous, and not only that its extremely tedious and takes away from progress of fixing real bugs. Words are words and if you can't read them and not get offended over a video game you obviously haven't "grown up."

If turning it on nets the server 10-20 more active members then I'm for it. However, I think the people that quit because this feature wasnt on will probably just quit again over something else equally as retarded

Community you really want? Does that include posters like you who come in with no logic to your post whatsoever saying, "no no no," with no valid points at all?

The people a pvp server wants is the community that pvps and does it often, not some poopsocking pve nerds that only pve once they're fully geared ,buffed, and ready to go stomp some newbs farming. The population is saying yes to global ooc and yellow text because it facilitates pvp and community.

Yes it also facilitates trolls and the chance of spam/badwords (omg) but if I see someone good get pvp'd in x zone and I am on and looking for pvp I will head that way. Not to mention how much fun it was to see a big pvp name get yellowtexted.(see Xantile / Rexx / Bombfist / gongshow )

Obviously you don't want your name yellowtexted and coined put in someones sig or something to that nature.
