In general, AC isn't the most important stat to a monk. That's not to say it's not important at all, but for pulling people typically focus on resists/sta, and for DPS focus on str (and then dex if you have a procc'ing weapon and str is high)

I guess AC is to me, anytime my weight goes above 15 and my AC starts dropping, I get hit a lot harder. As a solo monk AC is king.
