No I wasn't. There are other things that exist on this time line that are currently implemented along with ice comet. The Thex Dagger, might not be one of them... but I'm not sure exactly when that was removed either or if it is still here.

A TRUE classic implementation is once a rod for the quest is picked up, it will not appear again until a server reset. I'm not sure if this was a bug or initially intended.
