Hmm, i never thought of the possibility that the charmed pet was scrolling through targets on its own but I guess that's possible.

What I can add to this is that, although I was indeed in a group with other people, I did not notice the mob looking at other targets, much less running to them. It seemed to stay facing its target but just not swing 75% of the time. I could have simply missed it though.

Posting my notes from the bug report I posted (sorry if this is the same issue which it now seems to be).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I first notice this in SolB the other night. I had a Beetle charmed and whenever I sent it to attack a mob it would say:

"that is not a legal target master" (paraphrased)
but proceed to attack it.

That I've seen before but it seems far worse now. (I want to say that it didn't start happening immediately, maybe after a few kills, but I might have just not noticed it right away.)

I will see one hit for x-dmaage followed by 3-4 of these illegal target messages, then another hit or 2, then 3 or 4 more illegal target messages.

Later on that night I had a spider charmed near fire giants and had the same thing happen during every fight.

I have screenshots but I can't post them till I get home.
Anyone else have this issue lately?

(On a side note it seems like most of those messages should actually be hits. When this was happening the DPS from my charmed pet was super crappy because, if I'm right, roughly 3/4ths of the time the charmed pet will simply refuse to hit the target then all of a sudden decide to hit it, then refuse again).
