An average, or central tendency of a data set is a measure of the "middle" value of the data set. (Emphasis on Middle Value in case the apostrophes eluded you)
not a specific monster.. during a specific time of day... (not to mention that if the farming is that awesome the competition you'd have)
Same way you don't expect your stock broker to guarantee you 20% returns ever year (if he does.. reinvest now!!).. you shouldn't expect the ideal plat farming rate every day..

So yes.. sometimes you will earn more than the "average" go ahead and pat yourself on the back and feel uber..
but back to the point.. yes this thread has gone way beyond the OP.. and would probably be more helpful if specific farming information for specific classes was discussed instead of random epeening(and as a friendly reminder the OP was asking about how to farm plat on his mid level monk..... but who reads original posts anyways.. only thing that matters is the last post >_>)
