As Nilbog stated in his post, summoning is based on level. [..] Summoning in the Plane of Fear is working as intended.
I contend that this is either not true for PoFear, or that 95% of the mobs I named used to spawn (on live) as level 50 and lower, and did not summon.

If someone has an active live account, I would kindly ask them to go to live PoFear nowadays and test how many scarelings etc. they can find that will summon them.

Summoning may be working as previously intended (for the reasons I stated in my OP), but it is not working like it was on classic.

Regards

Pretty sure Live is on at least Fear 3.0 isn't it? Doubt you can get much useful info that way any more. Al'Kabor might be helpful though...

Oh - Fear was revamped again? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Thought it remained the same since original revamp. Well - Al'Kabor then [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] And I will check my logs, I always had them on for many years, at least for Fear 2.0 which is going to be patched into P1999 soon I understand (with epics).

The planes revamp comes in Velious, when epic quest bottlenecks are relieved by moving epic drops off boss mobs and putting them on the mini-bosses, putting in Remains of Venril Sathir, etc.

*New Epic Quests*

We are pleased to announce that we have implemented new "Fiery Avenger"
style quests for every class in the game (including paladins). The
ultimate reward for each quest boasts a custom model with unique
particle effects. We think that you will be pleased.

The Planes:

The Planes of Fear and Hate have been updated as part of our two-year
celebration. Adventurers in the Plane of Fear will notice that some
high-level foes are now available. Rewards for former "boss npcs" have
been moved down to underlings that are roughly as powerful as the old
bosses were.

The Plane of Hate has also received a large update, but this one also
includes the opening of a previously undiscovered part of the zone, now
full high-level expansion-oriented content. Much as with Fear, rewards
from bosses have been moved.

Epic Quests:

As part of the Plane updates, we've made several adjustments to Epic
quests for a number of classes. Previously, questers of many classes
were put in direct competition with regular non-questing adventurers
for a few coveted spawns. In these cases, a new step has been added to
separate the "Epic Encounter" NPCs from the "Epic Quest" NPCs.

For those who are mid-quest, all quest requirements have remained the
same. In other words, if you turn the same items into the same NPC, the
same reward applies. What has changed is that some components may
be in a different location from where you expect them. It is recommended that
you check with the last NPC in line or other adventurers to find where
you need to go next.
