Over the four decades 1961 to 1999, overall US life expectancy went up from 67 to 74 years for men and from 74 to 80 years for women.

300% huh? Gonna need a LOT of years added to the last 12 years since 1999 to make up that 300%. Still, I doubt that the current life expectancy is 200 years.
