Ok I just ran my druid out to that camp in South Karana on Al'kabor server. There were 6 putrid skeletons up and 6 regular skeletons.
Killed one putrid and it gave me those faction hits.
I killed one of the regular skeletons in the camp and it gave NO faction hits.
Are you sure the "regular" skeletons in that camp were giving you hits? And you did not kill any of the putrids? If the regular skeletons gave faction hits, i'd say that is a bug.
edit: was also a dwarf skeleton in the camp that /cond indifferent to me and gave no faction hit (think he is for a quest)
