Rogean while I, and many others I'm sure, appreciate the gesture and intention behind the 50% xp bonus week, I must urge you to reconsider.

In addition to what has so far already been mentioned by others against this, which I agree with, the amount of time and effort invested compared to xp gained has not changed for anyone because of this down time. If people's characters had somehow suffered a roll-back causing them to lose their recent progress, it would be different - but that is not the case.

The unintended consequence of this might be, that people who won't be able to play much next week, will feel cheated or as having 'missed out' compared to others, thus making them sad or annoyed instead of grateful. In essence people will benefit unequally even though everyone "suffered" the same.

However, I'd like thank you and your team for the time, dedication and effort you have been and are puting into this project. You have brought joy to hundreds, maybe even thousands of people, and you should be very proud of that. Kudos!

I need to makeup the exp my sk lost from not playing! 50% isnt a huge fucking bonus, you people are acting like its a double week. It's not going to impact much of anything at all which wouldnt of already occured during the servers downtime (level wise).

And why would anyone who might not be able to play during the full exp bonus time (family work ect, i myself work 7-8 hours a day) feel like theyre being cheated? Because they couldnt slam red bulls and power game? That point is quite null im sorry to say.
In fact, it should *please* those folks who dont get alot of time to play seeing as they've lost out on exp gained over the past week (provided they could have been playing).

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

What are you talking about? You haven't lost a thing, and neither have anyone else. You have put in zero effort or time, and you expect something in return? You should be glad you had a little extra time on your hands this week, cleaning the house, studying, making some extra cash, getting that haircut you so desperately needed etc.

I need a haircut? Shut the fuck up, my hair is short for a girl.

And as a matter of fact, due to not being able to log on, we did indeed lose exp we could have "potentially" gained.. Items ect.

And as for the cleaning the house/studying comment, my boyfriend does that tyvm since i make him dinner every night and have graduated culinary school and BRING HOME THE $$

I apologize, I thought you were a boy, really, I'm sorry.

As for what you "could have potentially gained", that is just silly. Do you want bonus xp the next time you're sick and can't play? Everyone are in the same boat, and why are you in such a hurry? This kind of attitude is exactly why most mmorpgs fail. The dev's listen too much to the vocal and spoiled players and their 'gimme' mindset, making the games easier and more 'convenient', thus in the end cheapening the experience and ruining any real sense of accomplishment. People don't know what they really want, so don't give them a say [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Newp, if im sick and cant play I miss out meestah. Im not in such a hurry, im just appreciating rogeans method(s)s while you fagfairys are trying to undermine what he deems best!
I certainly didnt suggest double exp, but if our mighty Throgean says it, I shall defend it.

oyah. THIS ISNT MAKING THE GAME EASIER/MAKING ACCOMPLISHMENTS ANY EASIER GAINED. Get that through yer manly-skull. ROGEAN DOESNT GIVE A FUCK WHAT WE THINK.

Which is why i love him.

This. This. This. This.

Also it's not classic.

If you're going to mess with exp penalties, why not take away class exp penalties, which is classic (implemented during Velious).

Implement having to stare at your spellbook to med ASAP.

Pyro demands that we keep things classic. Everyone can thank him personally when the GM's fix this.

Couldn't have said this better myself. However, I still am content with any decision you choose to go with, extra EXP or not.
