mew isn't real, jirachi can't be caught unless you go to a gay little pokemon expo irl, and fuck latios.

You could easily catch Mew in Red/Blue/Yellow and trade it to a later version, no?

Nope. Red/blue/yellow/gold/silver/crystal are too old.
Gameboy Advanced games (3rd Gen) can send pokémon to DS (4th gen) which can transfer pokémon to 5th gen.

Uhmmm. Mew was available as an unlockable event in third, but the event is long-over. It was also distributed in 4th over wifi for the pokemon 10th anniversary, which is also long over.
SO, the only way to get mew is to transfer him from the wii Pokemon Ranch game!
